KANSAS CITY (KFSM) – Just as they have done for two seasons, the Kansas City Royals continue to find a way to win games.

After seeing a 3-1 lead disappear in the top of the 8th inning, Kansas city rebounded in the home half of the frame as Lorenzo Cain scored from first on Eric Hosmer’s single to right, providing the eventual winning run as the Royals posted a 4-3 victory to take the series.

Kansas City won the series over Toronto 4-2.

Cain, who was not running on the pitch, was able to score easily after Jose Bautista’s throw from the right field corner went to second base instead of the cut off man.

Toronto had runners at first and third with no outs in the ninth inning but Wade Davis was able to get out of the jam as the earned the win after recording the final five outs.

Kansas City will have home field advantage in the World Series as the American League team won the All-Star game in July. Game one against the New York Mets will be Tuesday at Kaufman Stadium.
