BENTONVILLE (KFSM) -- United Airlines began its non-stop flights from Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport to San Francisco, Calif.
The airport held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday morning (Oct. 27) to officially begin the new service to California.
XNA airport chairman Mike Moss said United Airlines added the route because several Northwest Arkansas businesses do businesses in the Bay Area.
"The ability to get here at breakfast, and there before lunch is quite a good timeline for them and for all of our passengers in the region," Moss said.
The estimated flight time is four hours.
