ROLAND (KFSM) – Halloween is just a couple of days away, but your kids can grab their costume early for Roland’s Safe Trick-or-Treat on Thursday (Oct.29).

Organizers said there will be 14 booths set up in the commons area at Roland High School. A group of high school students will be at each one handing out candy to the little ones.

Trick or treaters will also get to play different games at the booths. There will be a baseball toss, basketball shoot, and a fortune teller.

Mattie O’ Kelley who is the president of the student council said last year over a thousand kids showed up. They’re hoping for a bigger turnout this year. She adds that this is a great way for kids to ask the famous question in a fun and safe environment.

Kids and their parents can start arriving at the high school at 6:00 p.m. The fun and the scare will last until 8:00 p.m.

The event is free of charge. Organizers said they do ask the parents to make sure their kids have a bag for all of their candy.
