WALDRON (KFSM) — The trial date has been scheduled for a former Waldron School District employee.
Robin Brown, 30, will appear before a jury trial on Jan. 19, 2016 at 9 a.m., according to court records. She is also scheduled for a pre-trial hearing on Jan. 5 at 9:15 a.m.
Brown has been charged with first degree sexual assault and sexual indecency with a child, both felonies.
According to the Scott County Circuit Clerk’s office, Brown pleaded not guilty to both charges at her arraignment hearing on Tuesday (Nov. 3).
She told police on Saturday that she had sex with a 16-year-old male student of the high school, according to an affidavit for an arrest warrant.
Brown also said she sent inappropriate sexual messages, along with sexual pictures via social media, to three different 17-year-old juveniles, that affidavit stated.
During an interview, the 16-year-old admitted to having sex with Brown at her residence on Sept. 12, 2015, according to the affidavit.
Brown resigned from her position at Waldron Public Schools on Sept. 25. She was a secretary at the Waldron Central Office.
