ROGERS (KFSM) — Registration is open for military families wishing to receive a free holiday meal.

Operation Homefront, a national non-profit organization, will distribute meals to E-1 through E-6 military families and to the families of post-9/11 wounded, ill or injured of all ranks on Dec.12, 2015, according to a press release.

The effort is part of the organization’s Holiday Meals for Military program.

The release stated each meal kit will include all the grocery items necessary for a full holiday meal.

Families must register beforehand at https://events.operationhomefront.net/Member/Login.

Those who register online will learn the time and location in Rogers to pick up the kits.

The program does stress that the meals must be ordered and then retrieved in person.
