POCOLA (KFSM) — Pocola fire crews responded to a fire at “Grand Slam” convenience store Saturday (November 15) night around 6 p.m.
Fire crews had to get on top of the roof to tear a hole to get inside the store, which is located where Interstate 540 connects with Highway 112 in Pocola.
Crews were able to get the fire under control and no injuries were reported. Firefighters say the fire may have been caused by an electrical issue with one of the signs on the building.
The store reopened to customers an hour after the fire had started.
