PEA RIDGE (KFSM)-- This is the first year the Wonderland Christmas Tree Farm has been open, and it all started with a tradition.

Martin and Jill babb used to cut down their own Christmas trees until Martin decided he could grown them himself.

Thirty-eight acres later, they have a tree farm in Pea Ridge with thousands of Virginia Pines and Leyland Cypress trees that families can cut down themselves.

They also have pre-cut Fraser Firs from North Carolina.

The trees range from just a few feet to over 14 feet tall.

Jill said they opened their farm for families to come and make memories they'll never forget.

"That's really what has blossomed into the farm that we have today," Jill said. "It's just a really fun family experience for everyone to get to come out and make memories instead of just going to your local supermarket or something. not only are you getting a tree, you're getting a fresh-cut tree, and you're getting that memory that you can't buy in a store."

The farm will be open until the 20th, and they plan to be back next year. It open weekdays at 2, Saturdays at 9 and Sundays at noon. It stays open every day until dark.
