FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) -- Only a few months after one of the largest motorcycle rallies in the nation wrapped up in Northwest Arkansas, thousands of dollars were returned to local organizations.

Monday (Dec. 7) night, many came together for the final task of the 2015 Bikes, Blues & BBQ Rally.

The rally held one final event for the year, to pay back the community.

“Tonight is the best night of Bikes, Blues & BBQ,” said Joe Giles, executive director of the rally.

Giles said the rally handed out nearly $180,000, all to non-profit organizations in the Northwest Arkansas region.

One of the organizations that received money was the Jackson L. Graves foundation.

“We couldn’t do what we do without the support of these types of events,” said Jennifer Matthews, a member of the Jackson L. Graves Foundation.

The foundation helps provide money, clothes, food, and other basic necessities to families who have children in the NICU at Children’s Hospital of Little Rock.

“With the money we get back, we are able to then go back and also give to families that have a great need. So, we are happy to be a part of it,” Matthews said.

43 other organizations also received donations from the rally.
