GREENWOOD (KFSM) -- One of the biggest Christmas parades in the River Valley is happening Monday night (Dec. 7), as the City of Greenwood prepares for the annual Christmas Parade.

The parade will come down Main Street and wrap around the square, circling back to the high school where it all begins.

Over 100 groups plan to be in this year's parade. While folks are out there, they can visit with Santa and listen to holiday music. Free food will even be served in front of the Chamber of Commerce.

A lot of citizens look forward to the annual parade. "The Christmas Parade is a big deal every year, we have one of the biggest parades around," said Greenwood resident Ray Webb. "A lot of people come out. They line the streets all the way down Main Street and all around the square."

This year's theme is "A Christmas Together".  The parade will kick off at 7 p.m.
