Eighteen-Year-Old Behind Bars On Suspicion Of Church Burglary

CARROLL COUNTY (KFSM) — Deputies arrested an 18-year-old on Wednesday (Dec. 16) on suspicion of burglary of a church, according to a release from the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office.

Trevor Schanke is being held at the Carroll County Detention Center without bond for burglary of the Towering Oaks Church in Berryville, Ark., the release stated.

On December 12, church staff reported a broken window at the church, and numerous individuals identified the white male in the surveillance footage as Schanke, according to the release. The video also showed Shanke’s vehicle in the church parking lot, after hours and without authorization.

Upon being brought into the sheriff’s office for interview, Schanke admitted his involvement, the release stated.

Investigators arrested him on suspicion of felony commercial burglary.
