FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) – Arkansas bounced back from a disappointing start to the SEC season with a pair of league wins and Anthlon Bell was a big reason for the quick turnaround.
Bell scored 26 points in the Hogs overtime win against Vanderbilt and followed that up with a 25 point performance against Mississippi State. Monday he was named the SEC player of the week for those performances.
Bell, a senior from Memphis, leads the Razorbacks as he’s averaging 17.3 points per game and is scoring more than 22 points a game in SEC play. Bell has scored 20 points or more six times in 2015-16 and is one of 14 players in the nation to make five 3-pointers or more in a minimum of five games.
Currently Bell is tied for 29th in the nation with 49 made 3-pointers.
