FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) — Two men are being sought after they robbed a Fayetteville motel Monday morning (Jan. 11), police said.

The robbery happened at the Super 8 motel on S. Shiloh Drive just after midnight, according to police.

The motel’s overnight clerk called dispatch around 12:10 a.m. and told police that he had been robbed at gunpoint minutes earlier, officers said. The clerk also told police that he gave the suspects all of the cash out of the cash register.

The two men wore hoodies and had their faces covered, police said. They left southbound from the motel in a smaller, white box-like passenger car with an undisclosed amount of cash, according to police.

Officers also added that the hotel clerk involved was not injured in the robbery.

Aren’t most hotel/motel’s mostly except credit cards now instead of cash? They want the cards in case the guest smoke and or steal something. In other words these hotels shouldn’t carry much cash…better off robbing a laundry mat. So I doubt they got away with very much cash…just saying
