LITTLE ROCK (KFSM) — A third suspect has been arrested in an aggravated robbery and officer-involved shooting at a Little Rock Red Lobster over the weekend.

Little Rock Police Department officer Shawn Bakr was shot in the left shoulder during an exchange of gunfire inside the Red Lobster at 8407 W. Markham St.  around 10 pm. on Saturday night (Jan. 9), according to THV 11.

Troy Williams and Kenneth Nelson are facing charges of aggravated robbery, criminal attempt to commit capital murder, battery and six counts of aggravated assault, THV 11 reported. A 17-year-old male suspect was taken to a local hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound he sustained during the gunfire exchange.

Bakr was responding to a reported robbery at the restaurant when he saw the three suspects with a handgun pointed at one of the employees, THV 11 reported. At least one of the suspects opened fire on Bakr when he approached them, wounding him in the shoulder. Bakr returned fire and hit the 17-year-old suspect in the backside.

The suspects took off on foot, and the juvenile suspect were arrested Saturday night when police responded to an individual requesting assistance for a gunshot wound, THV 11 reported.

Williams was arrested Sunday morning when police found him hiding in a shed, according to THV 11.

Nelson was apprehended just before 11 p.m. Sunday night (Jan. 10) after he barricaded himself in his girlfriend’s home, THV 11 reported. A SWAT team set up a staging area near the home at 32nd and Tyler, and urged residents to leave their homes as a precautionary measure. However, Nelson was arrested without incident, police said.

Little Rock police said Officer Bakr was released from the hospital Sunday morning and is expected to make a full recovery.
