FORT SMITH (KFSM)- After beating Oklahoma Panhandle State Thursday UA-Fort Smith was back in action Saturday night taking on Heartland Conference Rival Lubbock Christian. Both teams put up a fight, but the Lions came out on top winning 84-74 making it their second win in a row at home.
Sophomore guard DaVaunta Thomas and Junior guard Seth Youngblood lead the Lions with 22-point each. Senior forward Dusan Stojanovic added 11 points and led the Lions with eight rebounds. UAFS shot 47 percent from the field and was 87 percent from the free-throw line .
The Lions accomplished all of this while playing in front of a full crowd of fans for their first-ever sellout game in the history of UAFS athletics.
UAFS is back on the road to play Oklahoma Christian Jan. 21 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
