(KFSM) -- Arkansas State Police has told 5NEWS that it is responding to several accidents on both sides of the Bobby Hopper Tunnel.

Dispatchers confirmed that no injuries had been reported.

ASP stated that roads were slick and hazardous as of 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday evening (Jan. 19). They also said they were working on temporarily closing part of I-49.

Crawford County dispatchers said the stretch of road giving drivers problems was Interstate 49 North, between Chester and the tunnel.

Washington County said the interstate overpass near West Fork and the area just north of the tunnel were slick.

The Van Buren boys and girls basketball teams told 5NEWS that they were staying in Northwest Arkansas after their games because of the road conditions.
