Light rain and freezing rain is expected. While accumulations will be minimal; bridges and overpasses will become slick as soon as air temperatures fall below freezing.

Expect some road problems to develop after dark with slick roads becoming widespread by 9 or 10pm.

The majority of the rain/freezing rain will be east of the area by midnight.

Chances of light ice amounts are highest in NW Arkansas and lower towards Fort Smith. However, even with trace amounts, ice could develop on bridges in the River Valley.

At 6pm: Rain and freezing rain will break out. It may initially start as rain until the evaporation cooling drops temperatures below freezing

At 9pm: More areas of rain, freezing rain, and possibly some light will be in the area. This is the best time for problems to become widespread.

At Midnight: Most precipitation has moved out of the area.

Slick bridges and overpasses could continue into Wednesday morning with rapid improvement on roads by 8 or 9am Wednesday.
