EUREKA SPRINGS (KFSM) — The Eureka Springs Fire and Emergency Medical Services made a rooftop rescue Wednesday morning (Jan. 20), saving an injured roof worker.
The worker accidentally stepped through a weak spot in the roof of Walden Plaza and got injured, Eureka Springs fire chief Randy Ates said in a press release.
The fire department used a hydraulic lift to raise paramedics and medical equipment up to roof level, the release states. Then the rescue workers were able to use their equipment to bring the immobilized worker down to the ground.
The worker was taken by ambulance to Eureka Springs Hospital.
