FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) — The son of Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson was arrested Sunday (Jan. 24) on suspicion of DWI, according to Washington County Detention Center records.

Arkansas State Police arrested William Asa Hutchinson III, 40, after he crashed on the I-49 southbound exit ramp to the Fulbright Expressway, according to his arrest report. Hutchinson was driving on the ramp when he hit the guardrail with the front and side of his vehicle, the arrest report states.

A responding firefighter notified troopers who arrived on scene that he could smell alcohol from the vehicle and troopers noticed it too after speaking with Hutchinson, according to the arrest report.

When troopers asked Hutchinson what happened he told them he had dozed off and was on his way to Rogers, the report states. Troopers then asked Hutchinson why he was going south and he told them he was going north, according to the report.

Troopers said they noticed Hutchinson’s eyes were blood shot and watery, his speech was slurred, and he was slow to respond to questions, the report states. When asked to perform further field sobriety tests and a breath test, Hutchinson refused, according to the report. Hutchinson was arrested around 4 a.m., the report states.

Detention center records show Hutchinson was booked into the jail at 6:45 a.m. Sunday and released at 12:23 p.m. on $935 bond. He’s facing DWI, careless driving, and refusal to submit to a chemical test charges. His next court date at Fayetteville District Court is scheduled for Feb. 22.

The governor’s spokesman said Gov. Hutchinson was unavailable for comment Monday.

I don’t care for Hutch and his political nonsense, so why is this news? When Joe the Chicken Catcher gets busted for DWI 5 News doesn’t report on it, why is it that this man is different? Poor ethics at the News if you ask me.

I guess you are more of a fan of Obama’s “political nonsense?” You answered your own question about 5 “News” in your first statement. Any time they can bash a Republican, they will. You will NEVER find a story about Obama or Hillary’s many scandals on this site. Their leftist agenda is clear as day.

Max you truly are a self made fool, you make all of these ignorant comments without any clue of the facts or the truth. It’s a mystery where you get your information, not even Trump is that crazy and he is pretty out there. Max you have just no concept of what reality is, I fear you have serious mental issues that needs addressed ASAP. Somehow you took a rather bland statement about fair and equal treatment by a news organization towards a citizen and turned it into a crazy diatribe, what is it with you? If you had a brain you would know that 5 News is owned by Tribune Broadcasting and a man named Sam Zell owns the Tribune and if you had any kind of brain you would know that Zell is a strong Republican. Zell has made large donations to various Republicans over the years, Zell is also a chum of Trumps. So you freaking flake get your shiet together before you open your toothless mouth. By the way you stupid sap, check the archives on 5 News and see the numerous articles on Clinton and the POTUS your comment just doesn’t add up or make any sense as usual. Your agenda is very clear, your nothing more than a low life, ignorant, redneck fool, who only takes a bath once a month if you need it or not, believe me you need it. Your comments are a lot like another fool who comments on the ADG, could that be you, would that be you, moron? Max baby it’s getting a little old having to straighten you out so often, please do us all a big favor and SHUT THE H&LL UP!

        OBAMA RULES!

        YOU SUCK!
