Razorbacks Sign 20 For 2016 Recruiting Class

FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) – National signing day provided plenty of big names committing to schools across the country and the Arkansas Razorbacks stock piled new prospects in the process.

Running back Devwah Whaley highlights Bret Bielema’s fourth signing class as the Hogs coach as he’s ranked as the No. 3 running back in the country. Whaley, a senior at Central High School in Beaumont, Texas was a four star recruit and rushed for more than 2,500 yards over the past two seasons including 1,701 yards and 23 touchdowns as a senior.

Early enrollee McTelvin Agim, a defensive end from Hope, ranked No. 2 at the position in the country after exploding onto the scene last summer at The Opening, a football camp put on by Nike.

Arkansas also signed the No. 3 fullback in the nation, Hayden Johnson, from Rock Bridge High School in Columbia, Mo.

The Razorbacks have signed three offensive lineman as of 10:15 a.m as well as four linebackers, two of the most obvious needs heading into 2016.

Guard Deion Malone was an early enrollee after transferring from Northwest Mississippi Commuty College and was ranked as the No. 5 offensive guard in the junior college ranks. Jake Heinrich, a 6-4, 295 pound guard, from Urbandale, Iowa was the No. 15 ranked guard in the nation. Paul Ramirez committed last weekend and signed after playing at San Bernardino Valley Communty College.
