Sallisaw’s Scoufos Headed To Play For Sooners

Black Diamonds tight end/linebacker headed to Norman to play for OU

SALLISAW (KFSM) - Quint Scoufos underwent a coaching change and a position change in his high school career at Sallisaw but the senior said it made him better for it.

Scoufos made his choice to join the Oklahoma Sooners on National Signing Day on Wednesday and said the decision was easy.

"I grew up dreaming about this," Scoufos said of playing for the Sooners. "That's all I ever wanted and it's a dream come true."

Scoufos started his high school career with the Black Diamonds as a quarterback but moved to tight end and linebacker for his senior season. Scoufos (6-foot-4, 235 pounds) chose to be a recruited walk-on at OU instead of taking offers from Houston or Sam Houston State. Scoufos has a 0.8111 composite rating and is listed as a three-star recruit according to 247sports.com.
