Razorbacks shoot just 22 percent in blowout loss in Starkville

STARKVILLE, Miss. (KFSM) – Arkansas was in position to make a run up the SEC standings as they were in a stretch of five straight games against teams with a losing record in the conference.

Game two of that stretch proved to be a historic loss.

The Razorbacks shot just 22 percent, a school record low in SEC play, and Mississippi State ran away with a 78-46 win.

Mississippi State (10-13, 3-8) trailed 10-9 early in the first half but reeled off a 20-2 run to pull away from the Razorbacks. The Bulldogs finished shooting 53 percent while Arkansas connected on just 16 of 72 field goal attempts.

Jimmy Whitt led Arkansas with 11 points off the bench. Moses Kingsley was held to single digits for the first time this season as he had four points and three rebounds.
