VAN BUREN(KFSM) - Dozens of fathers and their daughters attended a father-daughter dance at Van Buren High School Thursday (Feb. 11) night.
It was more than just a night of fun for the pairs, it was also a chance to raise money for a meal program being organized by the Van Buren School District.
All proceeds from ticket sales went to benefit IMPACT, which will provide food to students and their families during school breaks.
"It's a great community, but there's people that are in dire straits to a degree," said Tom Watkins, Executive Director of Fine Arts, "and so we see this with kids that are part of our student population and we are just very excited to be involved in it."
