COAL HILL (KFSM) — UPDATE: The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office has scaled back its search in Coal Hill Tuesday night (Feb. 16).
The sheriff’s office urged residents to stay cautious and contact law enforcement if anyone approaches them and asks for a ride.
Sheriff Larry Jones said an individual ran away from Coal Hill Police as an officer approached a front porch, but it was unclear if the individual was one of the chase suspects.

The Johnson County Sheriff Department and other Law Enforcement agencies were in the area of Highway 164 and Rabbit Hill Road searching for suspects wanted in connection to a high-speed chase.
The sheriff’s office Facebook page stated Danny Sims and Calvin Keezer are believed to be the suspects. The two men were identified as suspects from a high-speed chase in LeFlore County.
They are considered arm and dangerous.
The sheriff’s office urges all residents in the area to remain inside and keep homes and vehicles locked.

Franklin County Sheriff Anthony Boen said a farmer had reported his own truck stolen after he noticed a white Dodge pull up to it while he was out on his tractor. Boen said an Arkansas state trooper noticed the stolen truck and turned around on the vehicle on Highway 164, and headed back to Highway 64.
The farmer’s truck was driven through pastures and fences, before getting stuck in the mud behind the old Walmart building, according to Boen.
Johnson County Sheriff Larry Jones said that the driver of the stolen farmer’s truck was on Spring Street before he left the roadway and drove into the fields.
Logan County Sheriff Boyd Hicks said that he had also received information regarding a stolen Dodge flat-bed truck, which is believed to have been the same vehicle as the Franklin County farmer described.
LeFlore County Undersheriff Kendall Morgan said the white truck fits the description of the vehicle which had been stolen in Spiro.
Hicks suspected Sims and Keezer were together.
Jones said a K9 unit searched for the two suspects for about 15 minutes.
