Humidity continues to increase across the area and widespread clouds are expected for Saturday ahead of the next cold front which arrives on Sunday.
The best rain chances will be in central and especially south Arkansas. It’s possible some parts of NW Arkansas won’t see much if any rain at all.
The cold air won’t really filter into the area until late in the day on Sunday into Monday so Sunday afternoon might actually be pleasant, but a bit windy.
Here’s a look at the rain chances hour-by-hour; again, this doesn’t appear to be a big rain event for us…
SATURDAY: Cloudy skies and warm, highs will be in the low 70s. Overall rain chances are low; however, there could be a stray sprinkle.
4AM SATURDAY: Best chance for a shower will be early in the day in NW Arkansas.
6AM SUNDAY: Scattered rain in the River Valley & Ouachitas; doesn’t look like much.
NOON SUNDAY: Most of the rain is in south Arkansas. We may even see some sunshine. Highs will still be in the upper 60s to near 70º. The true cold air doesn’t get here until late Sunday night into Monday.
Rain totals on Sunday will be minimal. In the 0.10″ to 0.25″ range. Much heavier rain across NE Texas, S Arkansas, & N Louisiana.
