BENTONVILLE (KFSM) -- A new brewery, featuring local flavor, is now open in Benton County. However, it's not your typical bar, as this brewery is targeting travelers.

The airport is trying to bring in more businesses, such as the Auntie Anne's pretzel shop that was added in 2015, said Kelly Johnson, Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport airport director.

When it comes to Core Brewing Company, Johnson said it gives travelers a sense of the Northwest Arkansas community by having a local brewer.

"Usually I go out one of the gates down here on this end, so it's nice that there's a bar here so you can stop in and have a beer before you get on your plane," said Mike Little, a traveler from Mississippi.

Looking ahead, the airport is also looking to add more personal amenities, such as the shoe shine place.
