SPRINGDALE (KFSM) — Ted Cruz’s campaign announced Thursday (Feb. 25) it would be changing the location and time of the Texas senator’s Sunday visit to Northwest Arkansas.

The GOP presidential hopeful had originally planned to attend a service at Cross Church Pinnacle Hills in Rogers, but he will now attend a service at the Cross Church campus in Springdale.

Cruz will be at the 9:15 a.m. service.

Cross Church released the following statement Wednesday:

“Cross Church is thankful for and welcoming of anyone that wishes to participate in worship and hear a Gospel-focused sermon, thus Cross Church is pleased to welcome Senator Cruz.

Cross Church will not and does not endorse any political candidate for any office. Cross Church endorses the Gospel of Jesus Christ and will continue to focus its resources on reaching Northwest Arkansas, Southwest Missouri, America, and the world for Jesus Christ. Cross Church has a passionate commitment to praying for our state, our nation, and our world, as well as for the individuals that serve and protect our land.”

The Arkansas primary election is March 1.

Cruz is running against Donald Trump, Marco Rubio, John Kasich and Ben Carson for the Republican presidential nomination.
