BENTONVILLE (KFSM) — A man has been placed in custody after police say he threatened to shoot up a Walmart parking lot.

According to the Bentonville Police Department, Eugene Magda, 47, called the Walmart on Walton Boulevard Tuesday (March 1) and said he was coming to the facility and shoot up the parking lot.

After officers were unable to locate Magda, an arrest warrant was issued Wednesday on suspicion of first-degree terroristic threatening. He was located at his residence located at the 200 block of NW K Street in Bentonville and arrested.

Police stated that a loaded handgun was recovered in the residence.

He is scheduled to appear in court on April 11.

Magda remains in the Benton County Jail without a bond.
