BELLA VISTA (KFSM) — The Bella Vista Public Library is launching a new service to bring library materials to homebound patrons.

Bella Vista Traveling Library will begin Thursday (March 10), letting participants who aren’t able to come to the library due to illness, disability or age borrow materials through a delivery service.

Residents can borrow books, DVDs, audiobooks or CDs, according to a library press release. The materials will be delivered by Roxie Wright, library director, and Argie Willis, program coordinator for the library.

Willis will visit with people who request the service, and then discuss what kind of materials they need before the patron is assigned a volunteer team that will deliver and pick up library materials.

Regular library rules and return policies will apply to the delivered items, the release states. However, the due dates can be extended as needed.
