Vian Toddler Life Flighted After Being Hit By Car

VIAN (KFSM) — A Vian toddler is being treated for injuries in St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa after he was hit by a vehicle on Friday (March 4).

Vian Police said the accident happened in the 200 block of Leftwhich Friday afternoon.

The toddler was struck when he was behind a four-door passenger car while the driver attempted to back out of the driveway.

The toddler’s parents were outside when the incident happened. They were watching their other children and told police they did not realize the toddler was behind the vehicle at the time.

The driver is not facing charges because it was an accident, Vian Police said.

Toddler’s injuries were serious enough that he had to be life flighted to the Tulsa hospital.

The child has since been upgraded to stable condition and is expected to be released from St. Francis within the next day or so.
