HAUPPAGE, NEW YORK — Another plane fell out of the sky, but this time New Yorkers witnessed the emergency landing.

A father and daughter were able to survive a plane crash by deploying their plane’s emergency parachute during an engine failure.

The plane was a Cirrus SR22 — the same type that former Walmart CEO Bill Simmons was flying when he had to make an emergency landing on MLK Boulevard last November.

The man flying the plane deployed the parachute around 1,500 feet in the air, said an official with the Suffolk County Police Department.

The plane narrowly missed hitting a nearby building when it made its crash landing.

Both the pilot and his daughter walked away from the crash.
