KANSAS CITY, Mo. (WDAF) – A woman who protested outside a Donald Trump campaign rally on March 12 in Kansas City was arrested and charged for abuse to a police service animal, according to our sister station WDAF.

A police officer on a horse was part of crowd control outside the Midland Theatre where a crowd of people were staged to protest the Republican front-runner.

According to police, the suspect, April J. Foster, 29, approached the officer and his horse, Dan, and began screaming in the horse’s face in an attempt to scare him.

A police report accused Foster of slapping the horse in the face with an open hand when attempts to jolt the horse by yelling didn’t work.
