National Weather Service Confirms EF2 Tornado Hit Washington County

TULSA (KFSM) -- The National Weather Service in Tulsa confirmed that an EF2 tornado touched down in Washington County Wednesday night (March 23).

The storm started causing damage in northern Crawford County, near the Natural Dam area, then followed cut a path through to southwest Washington County.

Several homes were damaged or destroyed.

Two people were severely injured in Crawford County when their mobile home was destroyed by the tornado. They were taken by medical helicopter to Tulsa.

An EF2 tornado has estimated wind speed gust between 111-135 mph.
