RYE HILL (KFSM) — Multiple fire agencies were called to the scene to battle a house fire early Tuesday morning (April 5).

The house went up in flames on Tennessee Ridge Road in Rye Hill, right of Highway 71. Firefighters said they believe the fire had been burning for about an hour before it was reported to dispatch. When crews arrived around 3:30 a.m., the home was fully engulfed.

Firefighters said the home is a total loss. 5NEWS was the first on the scene and spoke to the homeowner, who said she was renting out the home. Fortunately, no one was living there at the time of the fire, and no one was injured.

Crews are investigating the cause of the blaze.
