Garrett’s Blog: This Weekend; Scattered Rain Early Sunday

Active weather will return to the area late this weekend into next week.

Early Saturday will be very chilly with temperatures in the upper 30s and low 40s and clear skies.

Clouds will increase through the weekend with scattered rain possible Sunday morning.

The best rain chances will be on Monday including a risk of severe weather.

Here’s how the weekend plays out…

This is Saturday morning, a cold front will lead to the coolest temperatures across South Missouri and NW Arkansas.

SATURDAY 7AM: Clear skies with cool temperatures early in the day.

SATURDAY NOON: Warmer temperatures with slowing increasing clouds.

SATURDAY 6PM: Increasing clouds with a few showers in eastern Oklahoma.

On Sunday morning the southerly flow will increase humidity across the region and lead to scattered showers and storms in the area.

SUNDAY 7AM: Scattered showers will be possible early in the day with cloudy skies. Severe weather is not likely.

SUNDAY NOON: Cloudy skies will continue into the afternoon but rain chances will be lower in the afternoon and the evening.

SUNDAY 7PM: Highs will be in the mid to upper 70s with breezy south winds with more storms late Sunday night into Monday morning.

This is late Sunday night. The cold front will start thunderstorms which will eventually move into our area late in the night on Sunday.

Our next chance for severe weather will be after dark on Sunday and early in the day on Monday.
