Severe Storms Possible Monday

Another round of strong to severe storms will be possible Monday afternoon, with the highest severe weather threat shifting to areas south of I-40 .

An “Enhanced” threat of severe weather is focused in the Ouachitas and SE Oklahoma late morning into the afternoon.

Early morning storms south of I-40 will move east of the area before another round of scattered storms redevelops this afternoon. Most of the redevelopment this afternoon will be focused in SE Oklahoma into SW Arkansas.


Damaging winds and large hail will be the main threats with any storms that form south of I-40 this afternoon. The tornado threat is low. Thunderstorms chances will end later this evening as colder weather settles into the area. Lows will drop into the 40s and 50s by Tuesday morning.
