BENTONVILLE (KFSM) — RopeSwing Hospitality Group is bringing a new event center to downtown Bentonville.

Construction for the new 12,000-square-foot space, the Record, will begin later this month, according to a press release. The space will be located at 104 SW A St., the former home of the Benton County Daily Record.

The building should open in October, and they already have two events scheduled for the end of 2016.

The Record will offer several spaces to rent for special events, and will also over entertainment.

“Bentonville’s rapid growth has created demand for flexible spaces that can be utilized for business meetings, private events and entertainment,” said Rob Apple, managing director of RopeSwing.

The business will be announcing more details about the project in June.
