Garrett’s Blog: Expect Thundershowers Tonight

The next round of heavy rain will move across our area overnight and into the morning on Wednesday.

Severe weather is not anticipated and rainfall totals will range from 0.25″ – 0.50″.

Rain will be heaviest and most widespread early in the day with a clearing in the afternoon with sunshine and warmer temperatures.

Best chance for showers and thunderstorms will be between 3am and 6am Wednesday

Storms will be moving into our area after 1am on Wednesday with the heaviest rain in SE Oklahoma and SW Arkansas.

At 6am on Wednesday, we’ll continue to see scattered showers for the morning drive. The line of showers will become more broken to the north in NW Arkansas by sunrise but scattered showers are still expected.

The highest rain chances will be in the morning followed by a clearing in the afternoon.

We’ll continue to see rain chances into Thursday as the upper low finally moves to the east.
