A local workout facility is promoting fitness while also raising money for charity.
Body Tailors in Fort Smith is hosting a Push-Up Challenge, on Saturday, April 23rd. All the proceeds will support the local Children's Emergency Shelter, which houses more than 250 kids a year.
According to the CES website, the cost to care for one child for the average stay of 27 days totals nearly $850.
“We are going to do push-ups for a cause. We’re going to have people do push-ups for one minute to see how many push-ups they can do, and we’re asking people to come in and make a pledge - whether it’s 50 cents, $1, $5, whatever you can do. Anything helps,” Brandon Morrison, owner of Body Tailors, said.
The event kicks off at 10:30 Saturday morning with a free workout for all ages. Then, the fundraiser starts around 11.
Body Tailors is located at 4900 Rogers Avenue in Fort Smith. There will also be raffle drawings and giveaways.
