Police Arrest Suspect After Brief Search Near Poteau River

LEFLORE COUNTY (KFSM) — A suspect with warrants in multiple counties was arrested on Thursday evening (April 21).

According to LeFlore County Sheriff Rob Seale, Tyler Jones was arrested after police had briefly chased him near the Poteau River.

Seale said that he had been seen by officers ran away on foot near the 9A area close to Pocola.

The sheriff also said that he was wanted for questioning in several burglaries. Seale confirmed that Jones was thought to be involved in a high-speed chase two months ago.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol and Pocola Police Department assisted in the investigation.
