LEXINGTON, KY (KFSM) – Less than 15 hours after Dominic Taccolini threw the best outing of the Arkansas season, Zach Jackson followed that up with any big time performance.
The junior right-hander tossed seven scoreless innings and allowed just two hits while he struck out eight as the Razorbacks shutout out Kentucky 2-0 to take the series.
Taccolini threw a complete game, 10-inning shutout in the series opener on Friday night.
Both of the Razorbacks runs came in the fourth inning as Luke Bonfield drove in the game’s first tally with a RBI double to left. Chad Spanberger, Friday’s offensive hero, gave the Hogs a 2-0 lead with a RBI groundout. Spanberger drove in the only run in the series opener as he led off the 10th inning with a solo home run to right.
