SILOAM SPRINGS (KFSM) -- Siloam Springs residents will be able to pick up gun locks from the Siloam Springs Police Department -- for free.
“This gives us the chance to partner with the community, and help keep kids safe,” said Jim Wilmeth, Police Chief in Siloam Springs.
The devices are compatible with almost any gun.
After hours, the locks can be picked up from the Siloam Springs dispatch office.
Each person can have up to three gun locks, the release states. The locks will only be available as supplies last.
“We are invested in our community, and the people we serve. And, our obligation is to try and keep them as safe as possible,” said Joeff Lewis, Deputy Chief at the Siloam Springs Police Department.
