SPRINGDALE (KFSM) — A Springdale man who prompted the precautionary lockdown of Elmdale Elementary school on Wednesday afternoon (April 27) was taken into custody for disorderly conduct.

Loomis Alexandrov, 23, was reportedly walking down Christian Avenue shortly after 2 p.m. Wednesday with a gun, according to a department press release. He walked into a home in the 1300 block of Christian Avenue, where officers were able to talk to him.

He was later taken into custody and is facing disorderly conduct charges, the release states. The disorderly conduct was unrelated to open carry.

The incident took place less than a mile from Elmdale Elementary school, so school officials decided to place the school on lockdown as a precaution.

The report states that there was no direct threat to the school and the lockdown was lifted before the school day ended.

Police are still investigating the incident.
