BATON ROUGE (KFSM)- Saturday night the Diamond Hogs lost to the Tigers after 10-innings in a heart-breaker, and today LSU finished off Arkansas winning 7-1. After the three-day battle No.13 LSU came out on top sweeping the Hogs in Baton Rouge.

Arkansas (26-22, 7-17) struggled Sunday at the plate, only managing to get eight hits total for the day. Hogs’ senior Rick Nomura and Austin Catron both recorded two-hits each.

Keaton McKinney was the starting pitcher in Sunday’s game. McKinney kept the Tigers scoreless in the first-inning, but going into the second but the right-hander allowed two-runs to give LSU the early edge. Arkansas Head Coach Dave Van Horn kept McKinney on the mound until the fifth inning when he was relieved by Weston Rogers. McKinney (1-4) took the loss Sunday for allowing four runs and four hits in 4 1/3 innings of work. LSU (31-16, 14-10) then got a three-run home run off Rogers in the fifth.

The Diamond Hogs will not have a mid-week game this week, so they will be able to rest up before facing Alabama at home this coming weekend.
