Oark High School Senior Dies In Car Accident Three Days Before Graduation

OARK (KFSM) — An Oark High School student died in a car accident Tuesday morning (May 10).

Tod Smith, of Clarksville, was 19 years old. A police report stated that he had lost control of his GMC Envoy on a curve, left the roadway and struck a tree. The accident occurred around 9:30 a.m., just miles from Oark High School on Highway 103, south of Highway 215.

According to an employee of the high school, counselors will be brought in Wednesday for sessions with the students. They will be available as needed.

The school said that graduation will be held on Friday at 7 p.m. at the Oark School Gymnasium.
