FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) — Two more employees of Fayetteville Public Schools have resigned from their positions.

School district public information officer Alan Wilbourn stated that superintendent Dr. Paul Hewitt had accepted the resignation of Fayetteville High School assistant football coach Lucius Selmon. He also accepted the resignation of Campus Services and Project Manager Patty Plummer.

The resignations come one day after the school district announced former head football coach Daryl Patton had stepped down.

Hewitt said Patton cited personal and family reasons for his decision to resign. He said the Patton submitted his resignation voluntarily and was not forced to resign.

The school has announced that it is forming a search committee to hire a replacement for Patton.

“We are putting together a great committee of parents, former players, and administrators to find the right person to lead the Bulldogs in the 2016 season,” said athletic director Steve Janski.

An investigation of allegations made which may have played a role in Patton’s resignation continues, according to the school district.
