Heavy rain will be moving across NW Arkansas for the late Afternoon and early evening hours.
The high humidity will cause torrential rainfall, a few storms could be severe although the greater risk for tornadoes is across Oklahoma and Kansas this afternoon.
Damaging winds are the main threat with storms in NW Arkansas and the Fort Smith area.
Showers are more spotty across the River Valley but the coverage of the rain is expected to increase this afternoon with daytime heating.
Rain will be scattered and will not be nonstop but could continue into the evening.
The severe risk continues for much of the area into the overnight as a complex of storms from Oklahoma will try to press into the region late tonight.
