FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) — Tusk IV put rivalries aside and sent some good wishes to another mascot in need on Wednesday (May 25).

Mike VI, Louisiana State University’s live tiger mascot, was diagnosed with terminal cancer earlier this month.

Mike received flowers and a “Get well soon” note, courtesy of the Arkansas Razorback live mascot.

“Get well soon! We are pulling for you to defeat this foe just like you have all athletic opponents in the past 9 years as the Tigers’ live mascot. Take care, see you soon.

– Tusk IV, University of Arkansas Razorbacks Live Mascot”

Mike was diagnosed with spindle cell sarcoma, a rare form of cancer. Doctors estimated that if he undergoes treatment, he should live 1-2 years. Without treatment, he only has a few months to live.
