The atmosphere remains unchanged with abundant humidity and very little cap aloft to prevent storms. As a result, rain chance will continue into the weekend and into next week.
Over the weekend, rain will be most likely in the late afternoon and early evening with daytime heating being the primary cause. Not everyone will see rainfall but those who do will experience very heavy rain for short time. The risk of severe weather is minimal but damaging winds would be the most likely threat with the stronger storms.
Highs Saturday should be in the 80s with isolated afternoon storms.
Highs Sunday will be in the 80s with scattered areas of rain in the afternoon and evening.
On Memorial Day, an upper level wave will move into the area with showers becoming more widespread. Active weather will continue into next week.
