Bernal Drafted By San Francisco In 29th Round

FAYETEVILLE (KFSM)- In the 29th round of the MLB draft Saturday Arkansas senior shortstop Michael Bernal was drafted by the San Francisco Giants, with the 875th pick.

The Senior collected various accolades his final season with the Hogs, such as SEC Co-Player of the week and the Louisville Slugger National Player of the week back on March 1st.

In his last season he finished with a .264 batting average, 147 hits,14 home runs and 85 RBI.The shortstop complied a .995 fielding percentage, proving to be on of the strongest infield arms in the SEC.
