Local Man Missing After Hike Near Lake Tenkiller

SEQUOYAH COUNTY (KFSM) — A Webbers Falls man has been reported missing after he was last seen around 3:30 p.m., hiking near Cato Creek in the Lake Tenkiller area on Tuesday (June 21).

Matthew Scott Fagan was hiking with three individuals and decided to go back to the vehicle. When Fagan’s friends returned to the vehicle, Fagan was not around.

It is unknown if he was picked up by a friend.

The Sequoyah County Sheriff’s Department, Emergency Management and the Blackgum Fire and Rescue searched for several hours Tuesday.
